"All
of a sudden people with AIDS are having futures.
The Hoffman Education Fund will give them the
opportunity to look to the future with more hope."
- Irene Hoffman, Founder
of John R. Hoffman Education Fund
We are helping people with HIV/AIDS and their families continue their education. The John R. Hoffman Education Fund provides financial assistance to people with HIV/AIDS or their family members, with the goal of increasing the family’s income. Financial assistance is used for tuition support, books, lab fees and other educational costs as adults further their education and vocational training.
The fund, unlike any other in the country, is
named for John Reed Hoffman, who
died of AIDS at the age of 36 in 1994. Hoffman desired that
part of his estate go
to an AIDS organization. His passion for seeing others realize
their potential compelled his mother to create the education
fund.
